Search engine advertising, or keyword advertising, is a form of advertising on the Internet, in advertising on the results pages of search engines and Web sites, depending on key words (keywords) may be activated.
In the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN Live search results appear as paid advertising in a block - usually right next to the usual list of results - and are thus separate from the unpaid search results and are also available as a paid advertising to recognize. The most famous promotional programs in this manner are Google AdWords and Yahoo Search Marketing, which is also the main income sources of these search engines mind.
